NAKURU COUNTY POULTRY FARMERS ENTERPRISES

Nakuru County Poultry Farmers Enterprises was established on 29th January 2016 as a registered business entity responsible for implementing the technical and commercial activities of the Nakuru County Poultry Farmers’ Cooperative Society. We operate across five counties in Kenya: Nakuru, Nairobi, Kiambu, Tharaka Nithi, and Baringo, working closely with farmer groups and individual farmers to promote sustainable poultry agribusiness.

Our enterprise focuses on supporting farmers in egg production (layers), meat production (broilers), chicken breeding (hatchery), poultry feed production, poultry equipment manufacturing, egg and meat processing, packaging, marketing, and poultry consultancy.

We also promote the breeding and marketing of indigenous chicken breeds and their products, helping farmers increase their productivity, improve income levels, and build sustainable livelihoods. Through our programs and initiatives, we continue to empower rural communities by creating viable agribusiness opportunities.

Our Beneficiaries

Our programs primarily target women and youth, empowering them through poultry farming as a sustainable source of income. By supporting these groups, we help create employment opportunities, strengthen rural economies, and promote financial independence. Additionally, our initiatives contribute to poverty reduction and climate change mitigation by promoting sustainable poultry farming practices that support environmentally responsible agriculture.
